Question
Does HPV cause infertility, or should I delay pregnancy?
A clear, supportive answer
HPV itself is not usually a direct cause of infertility, and a positive test does not automatically mean pregnancy must be delayed. Cell changes requiring evaluation or treatment—and the timing of follow-up—may affect planning.
Before trying to conceive, review your Pap result, colposcopy or cervical-treatment history, and medicines with your clinician so pregnancy and follow-up can be planned safely.
An important boundaryThis is educational information and cannot provide a personal diagnosis without examination, history, and the complete test result.
