Question

How can I know whether I have oral or throat HPV?

A clear, supportive answer

There is no approved routine population screening test for oral or throat HPV comparable to cervical screening. Most infections cause no symptoms, and commercial or home tests do not necessarily lead to useful treatment decisions. Persistent sore throat or hoarseness, a non-healing mouth sore, neck lump, painful swallowing, or unexplained weight loss needs assessment, although these symptoms have many more common causes. Seek examination if a symptom lasts more than two to three weeks.
An important boundaryThis is educational information and cannot provide a personal diagnosis without examination, history, and the complete test result.
